People,
I filed my I-140 at NSC, but when I check case status online it says my I-140 was transfered to another Service center. It does not say which Service center though. My lawyer says he got all his mails form CSC, which means my I-140 is pending at CSC. Also my case number starts with WAC-XXX-XXXX, which also suggests that my case is pending at CSC. However, I am not convinced if this is correct because CSC does not publish processing times for I-140. Also, recently when I filed AR-11 for an address change I got an email from USCIS with the address of TSC on it. I would like to know if anyone is in the same boat and knows which service center there case is. I will appreciate your feedback.

My friend is in USA on F1 visa and her wife and daughter denined visa twice with reason that my friend is studying here not working.
Even he is not offering sponsership to her wife and kids. His in laws are sponsering both of them. Now he wants to invite them on his graduation day. Can he get a letter from local senator with F1 visa status ? or is that only for people who pays taxes . ( H1b or l1b ) ?
Please advise.

I hyphenated my name while I was applying for a green card. All of my Canadian documents like my passport and my Canadian photo ids like my Ontario drivers license and health card are all in my maiden name. Can I bring my green card alone with no other documents or do I need some other government issued id? The only thing that has my current name is my green card. What do I need to get a license.

You should pay taxes in PA.
In case your employer is running the payroll from MI, then file MI taxes as Non resident and PA as resident. You will get credit for paying non resident taxes in MI on PA's state tax form.
Don't pay resident taxes in the state where you are not staying. I got this info from a HR block tax consultant..

My wife was working for a company before. They had filed for her GC. She has an approved I140. She had to convert to H4 because of some legal reasons and could not continue to work for the company. Now she has a valid H4.
She has already been here 7 years on her old H1. Now can she file for a H4-H1 and get a 3 year visa based on an approved 140 ?
The lawyer says that the 3 year extension rule just states that H can be continued beyond 6 years based on approved 140 and so she can go back to a H1...
Anyone here has had a similiar experience ?

I recently graduated and got a job. I am currently working on OPT and the application for my H1 has been filed. I am looking at applying to some graduate schools for their online programs for working professionals. If I apply for these programs right now will my OPT be void?If my F1 changes to an H1 in October will I still be able to apply for the program without any issues?

There's something about these that isn't working. I think klinux is right. Try some other levels of desaturation. I like the headshot the best of the two. The color shot is a nice one, but her skin looks blotchy. Good experiment. Keep trying.
