I didn't have any problem at Port of Entry. The immigration officer scanned the visa, but I guess he didn't find anything linking to the fact that the previous company has canceled the H1.

Do nothing. It is an oversight and not worth worrying about. You can send them a letter and they will put it in the file but it isn't worth much.

Please explain how you have worked in Illinios for XYZ company( my GC sponsoring Company) living in MN,WA and TX.
The above description is the one line RFE that I got. I don't have more details to give. I guess am like any other consultant who works in different states( Most of them).
My 140 is approved in Dec 2007. I had 1st RFE on I-485 and submitted the same in Dec 2009. for pay stubs and other things. This is the second RFE. I will consult good attorney. Any advise is helpful.
Also I entered US on AP and I started my own company few months back. I am still working for GC sponsoring company. If by my bad luck my 485 gets denied..what are my options? Also I have my H1 petition valid till May 2012 but I don't have it stamped. Do I need to leave the country and get it stamped?

Good news for EB2-I people with 1999 and earlier PD's. They have been waiting far too long. Good luck for them. They have now done 10 years in the US, and will qualify for SS, anyway.

Hi,
I got RFE on Advance Parole requesting proof that I have complied with NSEERS.
All I know is I went for Special Registeration back in 2003 when it initially started and citizens of specific countries were required to go for that special registeration. The immigration officer stamped my I-94 and wrote a FIN# on my passport and I-94.
Last time I travelled out of US was back in May 2001 for couple of weeks.
Now got this RFE any idea what do I need to submit.

I have heard it is possible to change employer on 7th year of H1-B, though not immediately. The new employer should file LCA more than 365 days before the H1-B expires. Next time when renewing H1-B it can be renewed with new employer.

only the photo-copies of all the documents they mentioned, each page notarized.
I got PIO card in exactly a week and I live in North west Ohio close to MI border.

My understanding is that by using AC21 portability (when I140 is approved and i485 is pending for > 180 days),
one can work for current or any employer provided that new job is 'similar' (per DOL definition) to job listed in labor certification. In this case even if employer revokes 140 petition, 485 petition remains valid
and
One can used AC21 and continue to work for new employer on H1b (even if it is in 7th year extension stage) and doesn't have to use EAD,
Is my understanding correct? if yes,
1. Does one need to notify USCIS/ DOL after invoking AC21 ?
2. If one leaves current company due to better job, life changing event or layoffs what does companies doe generally? Do they revoke 140 petition?

my GC job title is programmer analyst(15-1021.00), and curently working as a Sr.Programmer analyst using EAD with different company.
Now they are promoting me as a Applications Project Lead, most of my job dutie are same as programmer plus some additional role.
I dont know whether I can accept this promoton or not, I sent a mail to lawyer, mean while if any one of you have similar experience please advice
